Negotiating With Contractors

Negotiating a contract is not easy.  For major projects the best way to begin is to consult with a professional such as an architect or draft person to produce the proper designs for your project.  Discussions with a professional can help you decide on the right remodeling plan to negotiate.  Once you are sure that your plan specifies all your needs and includes every small detail you may then want to begin negotiations with a contractor.  It is advised you get a minimum of three quotes from different contractors.  Each should be given the same identical project plan.  Your decision should not be based on cost alone.
