Contractors Are Expected to Supply All Equipment and Tools

Before hiring a contractor, make sure they have all the tools.  It should be spelled out in your contract that your contractor will provide their own tools.  This includes extension cords, ladders, scaffolding, and power tools, saw horses, etc.  If not, any defective tools you supply can make you liable for injuries incurred when they are used by your contractor.
